NEWVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's cross country took to a soggy course at Big Spring High School on Saturday afternoon to compete in the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational.
Long Race
The Red and White were strong at the top of the race posting six racers within the Top-10 of the eight-kilometer race.
Alexander Kane paced the entire pace with a time of 27:21.2, followed by his brother
William Kane in fourth (28:08.9).
Mason Macek was two slots back in sixth (28:10.6), followed by teammates
Matthew Dietrick (28:23.0),
Atticus Fair (28:26.7) and
Romario Cruz (28:32.2).
Matthew Colden landed just inside the Top-20 at 19th thanks to 30:24.2, while
Joel Yetzbacher clocked in at 30:45.4 for 21st.
Son Nguyen was the last competing Devil hitting the stripe in 31:43.0 for 24th.
Dickinson took home the team title with 11 points as DeSales (16), Lancaster Bible (23) and Penn State-Harrisburg (41) all attempted to chase them down.
Short Race
Dickinson then followed up their win in the 8k by watching
Brock Overlander top the field during the four-kilometer race with a time of 12:07.3.
Nathan Caldwell clocked in at 12:23.9 for eighth, while
Nolan Meincke rounded out the Top-10 by crossing in 12:26.5.
Luke Knestout was the last Devil to earn a Top-20 spot taking 18th (12:42.4).

Edward Liszka (13:31.9),
Max Collins (14:35.5),
Andrew Edwards (14:38.1),
Josh Penny (14:54.7),
Jake Solovey (15:00.1), Tyler Erdman (15:16.1) and
Evan Feldman (16:00.7) all took to the course for the Red and White..
Shippensburg won the title with 9 points, followed by Dickinson (16), Lebanon Valley (27), Kutztown (35), DeSales (55), Mary Baldwin (72), Chestnut Hill (73) and Penn State-Scranton (80).
Combined Scoring
The Red Devils took home the overall scoring title with DeSales following them in second.
Next on the Course
The Red and White will return to action next Saturday when they head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to take part in the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
