ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team began their 2024-25 slate on Saturday afternoon with a 5-2 road win over Lebanon Valley College at the Shankroff Tennis Center. The win for the Red and White marked the first win under new head coach
Cole Sutton.
Doubles (Dutchmen 3-0) (One Point)
All three matches ended with the same 6-2 scorelines as
Lucas Bogle and
Will Lewis played at one,
Drew Allen and
Eddy Chow slotted in at two, while
Florian Anderson and
Aidan MacIntosh were involved in the third match.
Singles (Devils 5-1)
Three matches went beyond two sets as in the top slot Bogle dropped the first set to Adam Warren, before taking the next two 6-1, 6-2. After Allen fell in three to Zach Schrader at two, Lewis responded after a first set loss to Jake Erb with wins of 6-4 and 6-1. In the four spot, Chow took down Michael Schuetz by scores of 6-4, 6-2. The other two matches were also done in straight sets as Anderson went 6-3, 6-3 over Colin Brusse and MacIntosh defeated Jared Hostetter (7-5, 7-5).
The First Serve
Dickinson (1-0) will now wait until Saturday, September 28th to get back to work when they head to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Fall Regionals hosted by the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
