Devils Clipped by Bullets at the Battlefield

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team dropped a Centennial Conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon to the host Gettysburg College Bullets by a final of 7-0 at the Bullets Tennis Courts.

Doubles (Bullets 3-0)
The first match to finish was the second flight where Florian Anderson and Ryan Whiting could not bring down Teo Burgess and Matt Porreca falling 6-2. The pair of Drew Allen and Aidan MacIntosh battled hard, but fell 6-4 to Joseph Damare-Owen Kutlu. At top spot, the Lucas Bogle-Eddy Chow combo pushed Adam Contract and Michael Fellman to the limit. However, they were ultimately tripped up 7-5.

Singles (Bullets 6-0)
Gettysburg jumped their lead out to 3-0 with straight set victories at the number two spot where Contract defeated Allen (3-6, 1-6) and down three places on the ladder Kutlu bested MacIntosh (1-6, 3-6). Whiting claimed three games off of Malek Mustafa on the six line falling by scores of 2-6, 1-6. On the top line, Michael Fellman defeated Bogle in hard-fought three sets (6-4, 3-6, 0-1 (5-10 super tiebreak)). Anderson pushed Burgess to a first set tiebreak falling 2-7, before dropping the second 1-6. The Bullets capped the match with a 5-7, 2-6 victory at number three thanks to Benjamin O'Connor-Skloot knocking off Chow.
