GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis collected their second win of the 2024 fall slate by soaring past the host Messiah University Falcons by a score of 7-0 at the Criste Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
Doubles (Devils 3-0) (One Point)
Jenna Crain and
Natasha Sharnoff got the Red and White off to a good start with a convincing 6-2 win over the pair of Bella Heckman and Kylie Walker. The next match to conclude was at the number three spot as
Izzy Desjardins and
Chloe Heller toppled Izzy Ipri and Naomi Parson, 6-3. The tightest match occurred in the two slot as
Alisa Steele and
Bonnie Thomas needed to win a 10-8 tiebreak to bring down Kiara Bomboy and Jocelyn Valdez (7-6). Â
Singles (Devils 5-0)
All matches needed just two sets to determine a winner as Steele opened things up with a 6-0, 6-1 win against Walker at number two. Heller playing in the third spot was next to finish as she dismissed Heckman, 6-3, 6-2. Crain would only allow Bomboy to nab two games from her in a 6-0, 6-2 victory.
Loretta Szych was the only player to post a clean shutout on the day dominating Ipri (6-0, 6-0). Sharnoff conceded just three games to Valdez at four going 6-1, 6-2, while Thomas put away Katelyn Good (6-1, 6-3).

Dickinson (2-0) will conclude their fall slate next Saturday afternoon at 1pm in the nation's capital against Catholic University.
