WASHINGTON - The Dickinson men's tennis concluded the fall portion of their 2024-25 season by unfortunately suffering their first loss of the year falling to Catholic University 5-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Dowd Family Courts.
Doubles (Devils 2-1) (One Point)
The Red and White secured wins at the number two and three spots both by identical 6-4 scorelines. The second pair of
Drew Allen and
Eddy Chow downed Paulo Emanuelli and Lorenzo Neri, while at the three slot
Florian Anderson and
Ryan Whiting upended the Henry Ogden/Ben Perks duo. Catholic's lone win came from James Earwood and Diego Romo who edged out
Lucas Bogle and
Will Lewis (2-6).
Singles (Catholic 5-1)
Dickinson's only triumph was in the number one slot where Bogle had too much for Earwood (6-4, 7-5).
Aidan MacIntosh playing at six was the only one to go a full three sets as he took the first from Drew Andrianopoulos by a score of 6-3, before dropping the next two 3-6 and 5-10 (super tiebreak). Both Allen (2nd) and Anderson (5th) won six games off of their opponents, but Neri (3-6, 3-6) and Ogden (4-6, 2-6) claimed the wins for Catholic. Chow was done in by Perks in the four spot 2-6, 2-6, while Lewis at three fell to Romo (2-6, 0-6).Â

Dickinson (2-1) will now turn their attention to the Spring of 2025 and the resumption of their season.
