HERSHEY, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team opened up their spring slate on Saturday afternoon inside the Hershey Racquet Club with a matchup against Division II foe Kutztown University. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the Golden Bears had too much in the tank as they claimed the 7-0 non-conference win.
Doubles (Kutztown 3-0) (One Point)
The second unit of
Drew Allen and
Aidan MacIntosh picked up the most game wins for the Devils as they dropped a 6-4 decision to Joaquin Perez and Nikita Safonov. At number one
Lucas Bogle and
Eddy Chow grabbed three games in a 6-3 defeat against Dang Nguyen and Henrique Rocha. The duo of
Florian Anderson and
Ryan Whiting fell 6-2 at the third slot.
Singles (Kutztown 6-0)
Bogle in the number one spot got off to a great start against Nguyen taking the first 6-3, before dropping a 3-6 decision in the second and an 11-9 tiebreak. Allen (2nd) and Chow (3rd) each seized three games in their straight set defeats. Anderson (4th) and Whiting (6th) could each only muster one game in their two-set matches, while MacIntosh playing at the number five was blanked by Emmitt Robinson.

Dickinson (2-2) will return to action on Sunday, March 9th when they take on another Division II opponent in West Liberty University in Hilton Head, South Carolina for day one of their Spring Break trip.
