(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team, ranked 18th in the latest ITA Atlantic South Region poll, won its fifth straight Centennial Conference match to improve to 5-2. The Red Devils improved to 8-3 overall, posting a 7-2 victory over visiting Bryn Mawr on Sunday.
Sophomore Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) and Sydney Diamond (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) won the top doubles flight, 8-3 and Altschuler surrendered just one game at number one singles, earning her second point of the day, (6-0, 6-1).
Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julien's School) and Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) went 8-0 to give the Red Devils the point at second doubles. Parks won the third singles flight in straight sets, (6-3, 6-2) while Nunes built a (6-0, 3-0) advantage before her opponent retired in the fourth flight.
Elizabeth Marin (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) went (6-1, 6-1) to claim the fifth position and Lydia Fox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Arlington) was victorious at six, (6-3, 6-0).
The Red Devils are home again on Thursday, hosting Franklin & Marshall at 3:30 pm.
