(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win at McDaniel College on Wednesday.
Sophomore Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julian's School) led the way, winning in straight sets in the top singles flight and joining classmate Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) for an 8-3 decision in the top doubles spot.
Stuart Lemay (Harwich Port, Mass./Westover) and senior Sarah Cantor (Providence, R.I./Wheeler School) won the second doubles flight, and claimed the third and fourth singles flights.
Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./Bluffton) and Elizabeth Marin (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) closed out the match with wins in the fifth and sixth flights, and held on for an 8-6 win in doubles.
The Red Devils improve to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Ursinus College on Friday at 4:00 pm.
