CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson baseball team sent 15 men to the plate in the bottom of the third inning on Monday afternoon during which they picked up ten runs on nine hits to erase an early 3-0 deficit and turn it into a 11-4 edge. Despite a valiant rally late from the 16th-ranked Gettysburg College the Red and White did just enough to hold on for a 12-10 conference win at MacPhail Field.

Records - Dickinson (13-14, 4-6 CC) | Gettysburg (24-8, 3-7 CC)
Pitching Decision - W -
Sam Bliss (2-1) | L - Alex Wilkie-Viscio 4-1)
- The visitors wasted little time getting to DC starter Koll Peichel, as Jack Burke went yard to open the game. Then, three batters later Jack Amirata doubled to right, before Dominick Balsamo deposited a two-run shot beyond the right-field fence. After being staked to an early 3-0 lead, Wilkie-Viscio retired the Devils in order during the home-half.
- Following a rocky first Peichel was excellent in the second getting three straight groundouts to give his offense a chance in the home-half. Matt Torres began the DC portion by getting the Devils on the board with a solo shot to straightaway center. However, Wilkie-Viscio setdown the trio of Kaden Sigmon, Luke Gartland and Kyle Bailey to send the game to the third at 3-1.
- The Bullets made it 4-1 two men into the frame when Burke doubled to left, prior to coming around to score on a single for Jack Pistner. Once again though Peichel settled down getting a double-play out of Will Stellato and a grounder by Balsamo.
- Shawn Arneja kicked off the DC rally with a single. Then, after a sacrifice bunt from Nathan Bowman, Ryan Thompson notched an RBI double to right. Singles for the trio of Josh Markley, Kevin Schmidt and Torres led to two more scoring knotting the game at 4-4. After a GC error the bags were full for Gartland who produced a two-run infield single making it 6-4. A passed ball would add another run, before Arneja ripped one to center scoring another.(8-4). That brought Alex Bergen into the game and he allowed an RBI triple to Bowman, RBI single for Markley and then watched another runner cross when his catcher attempted to throw a runner out at second. The rally finally ended when Torres popped up to his counterpart at second base.

- After the long bottom-half of the third, Peichel's day came to an end as Bliss took over on the hill. He would give up two walks in the frame, but got out of any trouble on a groundout to shortstop.
- Following a quiet fifth for both sides, Gettysburg attempted to start their comeback in the top of the inning as a walk, single and catcher's interference filled the bags for Robert Murphy. He would be safe on a fielder's choice to score one. Fortunately, for Bliss he was able to get another groundout to end the rally.
- The visitors once again filled the bags during their half of the frame. A sacrifice fly by Balsamo drove home one, but a strikeout and flyout wrapped up the inning.
- Bruno Spadafora put down the Devils in order leaving the score at 11-6 entering the eighth.
- With one down, Murphy singled to right and Burke produced a two-bagger to left putting two in scoring position for Pistner. He would not face Bliss though as Drew Norton became the third arm used by DC. Pistner cut it to 11-8 with a two-run single, followed by a single and walk to load the bases with two away. Matt Nichols would come up with an infield single that score two, fortunately, the third man trying to come in was thrown out at home to leave it at 11-10.
- Dickinson found a much needed insurance run during the bottom-half when with two down, Markley walked to bring up Schmidt. He would rip the offering to left plating Markley for a 12-10 edge going to the ninth.
- Norton went to work in the top-half trying to finish up the win for the Red and White which was exactly what he did recording two groundouts and strikeout.
