WESTMINSTER, Md. - The 18th-ranked Dickinson men's lacrosse posted seven goals in the opening 15 minutes, en route to picking up a convincing 15-5 Centennial Conference road win over the host McDaniel College at Gill Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
- Dickinson had a chance to take the lead just 56-seconds in as Ben Trucksess won the opening faceoff and setup Tommy Baldini for a shot but Zach Olvey had the answer. Just over a minute later Josef Zyngier making his second start shut the door on Aidan Skelly.
- That set the stage for the Red and White to play a little "make it, take it" lacrosse over the next few minutes as Landen Hyatt, Parker Polgar (Jack Schutte assist) and Hyatt again all cashed in off of a pair of Trucksess faceoff wins.
- The Devils just kept on rolling as a Ethan Ackerman knocked the ball free from Ryan Smith allowing for Sam Bunten to best Olvey for a 4-0 edge.
- Over the ensuing two minutes four more Trucksess wins at "X" set the stage for tallies from Hyatt (Baldini (assist), Ethan Gess and Luke Devlin (Schutte assist) making the lead 7-0 heading to the second.
- The Red and White continued to pile on two-plus minutes in when Polgar put the ball in the stick of Hyatt who struck again for his fourth of the day (8-0). Dickinson added another one not even two minutes later with a stop by Zyngier on Sean Maruschak setting the stage for Mac Childs to connect with Baldini (9-0).
- After a couple of scoreless minutes ticked by, before Ackerman stripped Will Beacham of the ball resulting in Gess finding Polgar for the tenth of the afternoon pushing it out to 10-0 still with five minutes to go.
- McDaniel tried to get onto the board prior to the end of the frame, but Wilson was blocked by the defense and Maruschak rang the iron to send the game to the break.
- Dickinson would claim the opening faceoff thanks to a violation against McDaniel allowing for Baldini to once again find Hyatt to extend the margin to 11-0 just 57 ticks in.
- The Devils tried to add onto their advantage as turnovers forced by the duo of Evan Karetsos and Capp Reynolds gave Charlie Baughan, Ramsey Huggins and Devlin all cracks at finding the back of the net, but Olvey was up to the task.
- Following a stop by Zyngier on Jason Fritz, Bunten tracked down a free ball leading to Hyatt playing provider for Joey Wood for a 12-0 advantage with 7:17 gone.
- Zyngier continued to play well knocking aside a pair of shots, before Nick Wingo finally broke through the wall.
- Each team added one more prior to the end of the frame as Ben Monroe struck for the Devils, while Thomas Bethune connected for the hosts to leave it at 13-2 going to the fourth.
- The Green Terror recorded the opening three shots of the with Zyngier making one stop.
- Dickinson attempted to add one more to the total at the 5:27 mark, but Matt Thurston was shutdown by Olvey.
- Three of the next four goals went the way of the home side as Taner Marusa was the lone strike for the Red and White leaving the score at 14-5 with 3:12 remaining.
- However, the visitors were not done as Andrew Atkins collected a win at "X" leading to Sean Kenny scooping up the ball getting it ahead to Jack Murphy who found Marusa for the finish at the 15-5 final.

- Dickinson (5-4, 2-0 CC) will look to push their streak to three on Saturday afternoon when they welcome the 13th-ranked Swarthmore College to Biddle Field for a huge Centennial Conference and Top-20 clash. Opening faceoff in Carlisle is slated for 1pm.
