CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's soccer team collected a pair of second-half goals from
Ethan Jarden and
Timi Omoniwa to claim a 2-0 non-conference victory over the visiting Shenandoah University Hornets on Wednesday night in the home opener at Miller Memorial Field.
- Dickinson applied the early pressure with Jarden forcing two stops out of Nathan Lynch in the opening five minutes, while Nicholas Dwamena, Luke Finkielstein, Saul Iwowo and Connor Uitterdijk all missed the mark over the ensuing 20 minutes.
- After a quiet half-hour DC keeper Aidan George was finally called into action denying Leandro Sainz in 34th.
- The Hornets would add the final chance of the frame at the 40:46 mark, but Nicholas Mounkhaty ripped it wide left.
- For the second straight match, the Red and White found an early goal as Jarden beat Lynch off a corner kick with just 2:05 off the clock.Â
- Shenandoah spent the next few minutes on the attack with Jarbin Rodriguez and Sainz tasking George with making three saves to preserve the lead.Â
- Then in the 57th-minute, the Devils went ahead 2-0 as Omoniwa deposited his first in a DC kit.
- Shenandoah spent the rest of the match recording ten more shots, but only forcing George to make a pair of stops to seal up the victory.

- Dickinson (2-0-0) will be busy this weekend as they head to St. Mary's College of Maryland for the Seahawk Classic. First, on Saturday the Devils will battle Salisbury University at 4pm, before taking on the host Seahawks at 3pm on Sunday.
