DALLAS, Pa. - The Dickinson women's cross-country team started their 2024 season by posting a solid result taking second at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday evening.
Myra Naqvi was the lead Dickinson runner, finishing in fifth overall place with a time of 15:42.40. Two other Devils finished inside the top-10, with Meghan Higgins-Hass (15:47.30) coming in sixth and Liza Barbash (16:12.00) in ninth. The two other runners contributing to the team score were Maddie Garber (16:17.90) in 11th and Sarah Coates (16:26.50) who took 15th. Rounding out the competing Devils were Sophia Kovalski (16:34.20) and Breanna Franchak (16:35.30). Jillian McNulty (16:57.80), Marley Kurey(17:15.50), Jenna Kerns (17:23.40), Devon Culberson (17:26.50), Lauren Scott (17:39.30), Emma Vanmeter (17:42.80), Emma Lewis (17:56.60) and Abby Duffy (18:11.30).
The overall winner of the event was the host Misericordia with a team score of 26 places, followed by the Red Devils at 46. The individual winner of the event was Grace Gallagher (15:06.80) of Misericordia University.

The Red Devils return to the course next Friday, September 6th on their home track in the Little Three Championships starting at 6:00pm.
