LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's and women's cross country team had two athletes recognized by the Centennial Conference office on Thursday morning as seniors
Maddie Garber and
Brock Overlander were named Second Team All-Conference performers for the 2024 season.
Garber, a native of Chantilly, Virginia, earned her spot with an 11th-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championship last Saturday afternoon at Big Spring High School clocking in with a 22:41.7. Garber has been strong this earning a trio of Top-10 finishes, including a pair of Top-5 taking second at the Dickinson Long-Short 6k race (24:46.7) and fourth at the Shenandoah University Twilight Open (19:57.0). Her other Top-10 result was during the Little Three Championship where she claimed ninth thanks to a 19:34.3.Â
Overlander, the resident of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, claimed his all-conference spot by crossing the line in 10th at the Centennial Conference Championship thanks to a time of 25:56.4. On the season he has three first-place finishes at the DC Long-Short 4k race (12:07.3), Little Three Championship (15:27.0) and Shenandoah University Twilight Open (18:44.5). In the season opener at the Misericordia University Invite he landed in second after hitting the line in 12:32.40.Â
Garber and Overlander will join their teammates on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional hosted by Lock Haven University.
