NEWVILLE, Pa. - Just a year after hosting the Division III National Championship the Dickinson women's cross country team welcomed the entire Centennial Conference to Big Spring High School for the conference championship meet on Saturday afternoon.
Maddie Garber was the highest finishing member of the Red and White in the six-kilometer race taking 11th with a time of 22:41.7. Just outside of the Top-20 was
Elizabeth Barbash and her 25th place mark of 23:35.5. The duo of
Sarah Coates and
Breanna Franchak ran together finishing within two seconds of each other at 24:31.2 (39th) and 24:33.5 (40th).
Jillian McNulty claimed 45th by crossing the stripe in 24:48.8. Joining her within the first 55 runners was the pair of
Sophia Kovalski and Abby Duffy who grabbed 53rd (25:03.9) and 54th (25:10.1) respectively.
Jenna Kerns (25:46.6),
Devon Culberson (25:53.5),
Lauren Scott (26:06.8),
Rebecca Roberts (26:48.3) and
Emma Lewis (27:30.6) all competed in the event as well.
Adriana Catalano from Johns Hopkins won the individual crown with a time of 21:57.3. She and her Blue Jay teammates collected the team title thanks to a perfect score of 15. The rest of the standings featured: Gettysburg (62), Swarthmore (81), RED DEVILS (126), Haverford (153), Franklin & Marshall (158), Ursinus (201), Bryn Mawr (217), Muhlenberg (248) and McDaniel (313).
On The Docket
The Red and White will now head to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania next Saturday morning for the NCAA Mid-East Regional hosted by Lock Haven University on the West Branch Cross Country Course. The action begins at 11am.
