CARLISLE, Pa. - The fourth-seeded Dickinson men's soccer team used a 44-second blitz in the second-half to turn a 0-0 scoreline into a 3-0 lead en route to a convincing 6-1 home win over the fifth seed Washington College at Miller Memorial Field in the First Round of the Centennial Conference Tournament.
- Dickinson carried the play through the opening 45 minutes as they did not allow a shot to the visitors holding an 8-0 edge.
- Within the opening ten minutes the Red and White would tally two shot with Ethan Jarden forcing a stop from Anthony Pinto, while Timi Omoniwa had a chance blocked by the defense.
- The Devils recorded five more shots over the rest of the frame with Luke Beiles, Tyson Burling, Nicholas Dwamena, Alex Spiegel and Omoniwa each sending one towards goal, but not able to call upon Pinto to make a stop.Â
- Pinto had to be on his toes inside the opening five minutes as DC tasked him with making two saves on blasts from Luke Finkielstein and Omoniwa.
- The Devils persistence finally paid off in the 56th when Finkielstein played a pass to Westin Fryberger who unloaded a shot past Pinto for the 1-0 lead.
- Dickinson kept on going with Omoniwa setting up Jarden for a 2-0 edge, before Jarden capped off his brace with 56:00 off the clock.
- It only took two more minutes for the home side to go up by four as Saul Iwowo had a chance blocked by the backline. However, he stuck with the play and beat Pinto to make it 4-0.
- Iwowo was not done though as he also cashed in during the 67th and 69th to extend the margin to 6-0 as well as finish off his hat-trick.
- Washington made their first shot of the match count as Sebastien Linares was able to gather the ball in a huge pile inside the 18-yard and fire a shot past Aidan George cutting it down to 6-1 at the 70:40 mark.
- WAC continued to try and find a way back into the fixture recording five consecutive chances forcing one stop out of Gavin Marr who entered the match in relief of George.
- Zachary Galster, Roan Harrington, Amos Liles and Vincenzo Randazzo each notched one more chance for the Red and White, but none of them were able to find the back of the net as the match came to an end.Â

- Dickinson (14-2-3) will return to Historic Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University for the Centennial Conference Semifinal against the top-seeded Blue Jays on Friday night at 7pm. The other semifinal will feature the three seed Muhlenberg College heading to the number two see Franklin & Marshall College also on Friday at 7pm.
