LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson women's volleyball team returned to action on Wednesday night taking on Franklin & Marshall College at the Mayser Center. Unfortunately, for the Red and White they were limited to just an .075 hitting percentage, while the host Diplomats posted a .375 en route to a 3-0 Centennial Conference win.
- The Devils hung tight early with scores from Amelia Kim and Mallie Thomas leaving the visitors behind 9-7.
- F&M took three of the next four thanks to Ceci Connolly, Avery Gratham and Coco Shultz to make it 12-8.
- Dickinson once again got close with three Thomas kills cutting the deficit to just one 14-13.
- However, kills from Shultz and Grantham bookended a 9-1 Diplomats charge to get within two points of the set at 23-14.
- Alexa Barowski, Emery Fishbach and Thomas gave DC a lifeline at 24-21, but Gianna Mangiamele put away the ensuing point for the 25-21 win.
- The Diplomats came out of the gates on fire as points for Jessica Currie, Barowski and Thomas were the only scores for the Devils as they fell behind 13-4.
- The next six points were split evenly between the two sides with a pair of Thomas kills leaving it at 16-7.
- Mya Anderson, Carly Campbell, Liah Perez and Connolly embarked on a 6-2 run for a 22-9 advantage.Â
- Kills from Barowski and Thomas coupled by a combination block for Eliette Whittaker and Kim cut it down to 24-15, before Anderson set down the final point.
- F&M once again got out to a fast start with Emily Dean, Anderson, Connolly, Mangiamele and Shultz making it 11-4.
- A pair of Thomas kills along with solos for Barowski, Currie and Fishbach helped DC get within 17-12.
- The Diplomats answered back with an 8-3Â charge to end the match at 25-15.

- Dickinson (9-7, 1-3Â Centennial) returns to non-conference action on Saturday as they head to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg for a tri-match. The Red and White will battle Geneva College at 12pm, before taking on the host Pitt-Greensburg at 2pm.
