The Red and White put forth a strong effort at the defensive end, but unfortunately the visitors just had too much on the day posting a 6-0 conference win in Carlisle. The visitors had the early pressure with Sophie Gomez and Emma Rose letting shots fly towards the DC cage patrolled by Taylor Morrow tasking her to make one stop. In the fifth minute Dickinson had their only shot of the frame as Nicole Uebele played a corner into Malena Malka Goldman who had her chance batted aside by Aubrey Kilgore. Hopkins tallied the remaining four attempts with Morrow making three stops, while Lila Slattery scored with exactly seven minutes gone. The Jays used the first six minutes of the period to earn three penalty corners and record four shots with Morrow stopping one and Maggie Carson sweeping an offering from Megan Chang off the line. Dickinson continued to hold the fort defensively and tried to work their way into the offensive end over the next few minutes. However, the Hopkins defense continued to hold the Red and White at-bay which allowed their attack to cash in twice off of two corners to push the margin to 3-0 with ten minutes gone. Becca Woods gave the Devils a chance to trim one off the gap 10-seconds before halftime, but Jessica Lapidus shut her down. The Devils defense was under immense pressure during the frame with the visitors tallying eight shots scoring once with Morrow notching five more stops. Dickinson earned a penalty corner just 21-seconds into the period, but the insert from Sophia Pereira jumped over her teammates stick. That allowed the visitors to head back down the pitch and have Ava Balacek find Zoya Iyer for the finish making it 5-0. Emily Amsden also added a penalty stroke goal late in the frame for the 6-0 final. Shots - Malka Goldman and Woods (1) Saves - Morrow (11) Goals - Slattery (2) Shots - Slattery (6) Saves - Kilgore and Lapidus (1) Dickinson (5-11, 2-7 Centennial) will close out the season on Saturday afternoon at 1pm on the road at Muhlenberg College.
