GENESEO, N.Y. - The Dickinson women's cross country team got back to action on Saturday morning taking part in the 43rd Annual Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum.
Myra Naqvi was the top finisher for the Devils clocking in at 22:36.5 (27th) on the six kilometer course in a loaded field that was made up of nearly 500 runners.
Maddie Garber was next to cross the line in 22:44.0 for 33rd. The duo of
Meghan Higgins-Haas and
Elizabeth Barbash hit the strip in 23:12.8 and 23.18.5 to nab 57th and 63rd respectively.
Sarah Coates also remained inside of the top 100 with a 23:48.5 to claim 99th. The trio of
Sophia Kovalski (24:14.8), Brenna Franchak (24:21.6) and
Jillian McNulty (24:32.9) all landed within the Top-200.. Abby Duffy (24:58.5),
Devon Culberson (25:11.0),
Jenna Kerns (25:41.6),
Rebecca Roberts (25:44.9),
Lauren Scott (25:59.4) and
Emma Lewis (26:14.8) all competed in the event as well.
Penelope Greene of the host SUNY Geneseo won the race with a 20:39.7 to help the host Knights claimed the team victory with 52 points. The rest of the Top-10 were made up of Carnegie Mellon (67), RPI (78), John Carroll (94), Ithaca (228), Rochester (240), Case Western (245), RED DEVILS (256), Ohio Northern (262) and Mount Union (281).Â

The Red and White return to action in two weeks when Dickinson hosts the Centennial Conference Championship at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania. The action begins at 11:15 on Saturday, November 2nd.
