CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team continued their perfect start to the 2023-2024 season by knocking off local foe Messiah University by a final of 7-2 on Saturday morning at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 2-1)
The second pair of
Drew Allen and
Florian Anderson were able to pick up a win over Carl Anderson and Michael Niemi by a score of 8-5. A spot later
Eddy Chow and
Romano De Caprio were too much for Ben Anspach and Luke Risser 8-4. Haverford secured their first point at the number one spot thanks to Timothy Sheaffer and Chase Wilson taking down
DJ Finnell and
Levi Veleanu (8-2).
Singles (DEVILS 5-1)
Finnell claimed the easiest of the victories for the Red and White by downing Sheaffer 6-2, 6-2.
Spencer Goodman playing at the six spot allowed Risser to win just six combined games in a 6-4, 6-2 win. A spot earlier Allen edged out Anspach 6-4, 6-3. Both
Sid Ramaswamy at number two and Anderson in the fourth slot needed a first-set tiebreaker to help secure straight-set triumphs (7-6, 6-4) and (7-6, 7-5) respectively. Â

Dickinson (3-0) will welcome the Spartans of York College of Pennsylvania to the Hays Tennis Courts for a 4pm first service on Thursday afternoon.
