(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College softball team swept a double-header from visiting Haverford on Saturday afternoon. The Devils captured game one, 3-0, behind 14 strikeouts from senior pitcher Allison Jordan (Medford, N.J./Shawnee). The Devils scored in the bottom of the seventh to win the nightcap, 1-0.

Jordan tossed a two-hit shutout to earn the win in game one. Senior Kyrie Budnik (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) drew a lead-off walk to start the game and later came in to put the Devils on the board.

The Devils tacked on two more in the third behind singles from Budnik and classmate Emma Murtaugh (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel), and double by senior Alesa Sisco (Effort, Pa./Blair Academy).

Budnik added another walk and a double to go 2-for-2 with two runs scored in the opener.

First-year Chelsea Homa (Newton, N.J./Newton) allowed just three hits while striking out four in a complete game shutout to win the nightcap.

Senior Ari Coulter (Branford, Conn./Branford) went 4-for-4 in game two, driving in Sisco in the seventh for the game's only run. She added three singles and a double to her game-winning RBI.

Sisco led-off the inning with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from Madison Gerish (Fairfield, N.J./Newark Academy). Homa drew a walk and Melissa Osborn (Stevensonville, Md./Kent Island) singled to load the bases. Coulter found open ground in right field for the game-winning single.

The Red Devils improve to 10-10 overall and 5-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are scheduled to host Albright College.
