(Carlisle, Pa.) The Dickinson college women's volleyball team
survived three tight sets, edging Muhlenberg College to win
their fourth match of the season Saturday afternoon. Dickinson won
decisively in the second set, taking it 25-16, but the Mules kept
it close in the first and third sets, 26-24 and 27-25,
respectively.
Sophomore Avery Zuvic
(Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) led the Red Devils, recording
10 kills, seven digs, and four blocks.
Junior Kaylee
Britain (Wayzata, Minn./Blake) and sophomore
Jessy
Cooper (Chantilly, Va./Chantilly) each racked up seven
kills while junior Liz Norris
(Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss School) recorded a match-high
seven blocks.
First-year setter Grace
Morgan tallied a match-high 27 assists, and classmate
Jessie
Shaffner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) added five
service aces and seven digs.
Dickinson improves to 4-11 overall and 1-2 in the Centennial
Conference, while Muhlenberg falls to 2-14, 0-3 in CC. The
Red Devils remain at home to play Swarthmore College next Saturday
at 1:00 pm.
