CARLISLE, Pa. – Junior
Collin McMahon-Shea followed up his Dickinson record-breaking, Centennial Conference record tying and Carlisle Barracks Golf Club record round of 64 on Saturday with a 66 on Sunday to help the Dickinson men's golf team claim victory at their home spring invitational with a two-day total of 565.
"A" Team
McMahon-Shea was once again the lowest member of the Devils with his 66 on the 6670-yard, par 72 course. His outstanding round puts him in a tie for the second best round in conference history as well. After shooting a 77 yesterday,
William Griffith joined him in red numbers on Sunday with a 69 to finish in a tie for eighth at 146.
Carl Williams finished with an even par 72 ending on the same number as his teammate (146).
Jake Goldberg completed the three-way Devil deadlock with a 146 of his own going 72, 74, while
Ryan Wheeler carded a 76 on day two. The team total of 281 tied the Red and White for second in the conference history and is the lowest team round in school history beating out the previous mark of 283.
"B" Team
For the second straight day
Vincent Carr had the lowest round for the group posting a 75 to end the event tied for 12th at 147.
Will Carkhuff was one stroke back on the day with a 76 to finish on 151 (T-21st). The duo of
Bo Concannon and
Colin Vineberg each carded a 77 to close out the tournament on 155 and 153 respectively.
Jackson Guy wrapped up the unit by firing an 81.
"C" Team
Erik Schneider knocked six strokes off his number from Saturday to finish the event at 148 thanks to scores of 77 and 71.
Sam Sieminski trimmed three off going from 80 to 77 for a 157.
Rocco Mastrangelo dropped two strokes from Saturday's 80 by posting a 78, while
Chan Yoon entered the 19th-hole on 80 Sunday afternoon to finish with a 155.
Results
The Top-10 of the team standings are as follows: Dickinson "A" (565), Franklin & Marshall "A" and Franklin & Marshall "B" (576), Swarthmore (587), Dickinson "B" (606), Catholic "A" (613), Dickinson "C" (618), Hood (621), Goucher (624) and Stevenson (639).
The First Tee
Dickinson will get back to work on Saturday morning at The Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania as they take part in the McDaniel College Spring Invitational.
