LANCASTER, Pa. - After four busy days of swimming inside the Kunkel Aquatic Center on the campus of Franklin and Marshall College the Dickinson women's swimming team seized a fourth-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships as the festivities came to a close on Sunday evening.
The day opened up with
Tori May just missing the podium for the 1650-yard freestyle as her time of 17:49.53 was good for fourth.
Anna Gnagey finished off the podium during the 200-yard backstroke as she got to the wall in 2:04.99 to claim third, while
Sarah McHenry nabbed 15th thanks to a 2:15.01.
The duo of
Bella Gerkin and
Sydney Farling swam together in the 200-yard breaststroke claiming 10th (2:29.22) and 11th (2:30.13) respectively.
Emma Johnston was the highest placing Devil for 200-yard butterfly taking ninth with a time of 2:10.75, followed by
Sarah Mulcahy in 13th at 2:15.28.
To round out the championships the team of
Caitlin Gross, Gnagey, Johnston and May earned sixth during the 400-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 3:37.40.
Team Scores
Swarthmore College claimed their fourth straight conference crown with 1017 points, followed by Gettysburg (869), Franklin and Marshall (421.5), RED DEVILS (329), Ursinus (317), Washington (Md. (291), Bryn Mawr (162.5) and McDaniel (133).
