Welcome to Carlisle! Jack Mrozinski Named Football's New Defensive Coordinator

CARLISLE, Pa. - Dickinson head football coach Brad Fordyce has announced a new addition to his staff as Jack Mrozinski will join the Red Devil family as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator.

"I see everything that Dickinson stands for and am excited to be a part of this thriving community" said Mrozinski. "Right now is was the best time to join the program as I have the opportunity to work with the players during the spring season allowing me to forge relationships with them as well as my new co-workers and have the ability to continue to improve this program each and every day."

Mrozinski, a current resident of Streetsboro, Ohio, and 2006 graduate of Buffalo State College, has spent the past four seasons as the head coach at Hiram College in Ohio where he oversaw all aspects of the football program for the Terriers. He also made sure that his team was visible in the community outside of the gridiron as he had his team complete eight to ten community service projects per year. Mrozinski is no stranger to taking command of a defense as before heading to Hiram he served as the defensive coordinator for Salve Regina University in Rhode Island for three seasons from 2017 to 2019. There he guided the defense to three shutouts and conference-leading ranks in rush yards per game, scoring defense, defensive touchdowns, tackles for loss and interceptions. Mrozinski has also had coaching stops at Ithaca College, Widener University, Hofstra University, Muhlenberg College and Buffalo State College where he focused on defensive positions primarily defensive backs and safeties, in addition to working with special teams.

"We are really excited to add Jack to our staff" stated Fordyce. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience on both defensive and special teams. I think his time as a head coach will be invaluable to our program." Fordyce went on to add "defensively his knowledge and background will be a great fit for us. His extensive knowledge across multiple schemes will enhance who we are and how we play defense."

Mrozinski talked about his excitement in joining up with Coach Fordyce saying "He brings a level of enthusiasm and professionalism that stuck out to me in the interview process. I can clearly see his vision and I am excited to be a part of it." He closed by saying "I want Dickinson alumni and fans to know I will work hard every day to earn the trust and support of the everyone. It takes a village for football to thrive and I am looking forward to joining this family!"
