Devils Have Six Individuals Named All-Conference

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson football continued another solid season on Wednesday as six members of the Red and White were selected to the 2024 All-Centennial Conference Team as announced by the league office. Senior Bobby Markey was the lone Devil to be chosen to the First Team, while classmates Keon Eady, Kieran O'Neill, John Prochniak and Vincent Sprenger garnered Second Team accolades. Sam Orzolek was tabbed for the All-Sportsmanship Team.

First Team
Markey, the native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has appeared in all ten games so far for the Devils racking up team-highs in yards at 807 and touchdowns (8). He also got it done on special teams posting 11 punt returns for 48 yards to go along with eight kickoff returns collecting 193 yards. The second leading receiver in the Centennial Conference has three games with 100-plus yards with his current season-high of 123 yards coming in a 21-14 home win over Kean University. Markey has three games with two touchdowns each coming against William Paterson (9/14), Muhlenberg (10/26) and Gettysburg (11/2).

Second Team
Eady, the resident of Washington, D.C, has played in all ten games for the Red and White leading the team in pass break-ups (8) and interceptions (2), while added 35 tackles, including 22 solo stops. He currently has three games with five tackles against William Paterson (9/14), Muhlenberg (10/26) and Ursinus (11/16). Eady has tallied a solo interception versus both McDaniel (10/19) and Gettysburg (11/2).

O'Neill, the native of Baltimore, Maryland, served as both the placekicker and punter for Dickinson going 16-of-17 on extra points and five of seven on field goals to go along with 44 punts (37.8 avg.) and 39 kickoffs (53.2 avg.) with eight touchbacks. His busiest day of the season so far came on November 2nd when the Devils hosted Gettysburg on Homecoming. That day he was 2-for-2 in field goals with a long of 42 and 4-for-4 on extra points, while adding six punts and kickoffs in a 34-14 DC win. This past Saturday in the regular-season finale against Ursinus he posted the longest punt in the CC this season with a booming 72-yard bomb.

Prochniak, out of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, has taken to the field in all ten games and has led the Devils defense with a team-high 73 tackles, which also ranks him second in the CC. He has been a tackling machine for Dickinson posting four games of five or more solo stops against Randolph-Macon (9/6), Kean (9/21), Muhlenberg (10/26) and Gettysburg (11/2). His largest output to date came at Muhlenberg when he tallied a season-high seven solo hits and helped out on another five for a dozen stops on the day, including a sack.

Sprenger, the native of Hamburg, Germany, appeared in all ten games on the offensive line for the Red and White so far. He was a main cataylst in an line that created massive holes for the DC running backs to go through and was vital in helping to hold up in pass protection for quarterback duo Presley Egbers and Ben Klassen. According to his coaches he was one of those players that would show up every day and you never had to worry about, because you knew you were getting his best effort at all times.

Sportsmanship Team
Orzolek, out of Reading, Pennsylvania, has been involved in all ten games for the Devils collecting 38 tackles, including 11 solo tackles in addition to picking up two pass break-ups and tracking down one fumble.

The Red Devils will end their 2024 season on Saturday afternoon when they head to Madison, New Jersey to battle FDU-Florham in a Centennial-MAC Bowl game at 12pm.
