CARLISLE, Pa. - For the first time since the final weekend in October the Dickinson men's swimming team returned to the Clarke Aquatic Center for a competitive meet as the Red and White welcomed local rival Messiah University for a non-conference clash on Saturday afternoon. Using nine race wins the Devils were able to swim away from the Falcons for a 136-62 win on Senior Day.
Dickinson began the day by filling the podium for the 400-yard medley relay as the unit of
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi, Alaxander Kanard,
Daulton Kendall and Justing Wong won the event with a 3:39.26. In second place fell
Paul Florio,
Andrew Kelley,
Henry Lease and
James Wright (3:41.28), before
Joe Apat,
Matthew Ferenz,
Jace Pedicone and
Samson Qu nabbed third at 3:48.24.
Aidan Keillor grabbed the first individual win for the Red and White by posting a 10:40.95 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Damon Buchanan also competed taking second by stopping the clock in 10:52.65.
The Devils run continued during the 200-yard freestyle as Wright topped the podium with a 1:47.36, while Kanard seized third at 1:53.16.
Kendall (22.04), Wong (22.51), Colloca-Bianchi (23.57) and Keillor (23.76) went first through fourth for the 50-yard freestyle.
Kelley won the 400-yard individual medley thanks to a 4:26.19, followed by Florio in third (4:30.13) and Apat at 4:39.12 to claim fourth.
Dickinson went "one-two" in the 100-yard butterfly as Qu posted the winning time of 52.62 and
Nolan Chenot claimed second with a 54.49. Buchanan also competed in the race finishing fifth at 1:02.55.
The duo of
Jack Engel and Pedicone took up second and third for the 100-yard freestyle thanks to times of 51.14 and 51.37 respectively.
Wright collected his second victory of the day in the 100-yard backstroke by getting to the wall in 54.16.
Benjamin Brandt finished second in his first event of the meet clocking in at 5:09.57 during the 500-yard freestyle, followed six seconds back by Ferenz in third (5:15.16).
Three members of the Red and White went to the pool for the 100-yard breaststroke where Chenot claimed the top spot at 1:03.04, while Lease completed the podium (1:04.58) and Apat fell to fourth (1:06.33).
Dickinson ended the day by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay thanks to Colloca-Bianchi, Engel, Kelley and Qu posting a 1:28.44, followed two seconds back by Chenot, Keillor, Kendall and Wong (1:30.90) and two seconds behind them in third was Brandt, Ferenz, Florio and Kanard (1:32.32).

Dickinson (7-2) will have some time before their next meet on Saturday, February 1st when they travel to Westminster, Maryland to take on McDaniel College at 1pm.
