LANCASTER, Pa. - Following a solid opening night on Thursday, the Dickinson men's swimming team got back to work on Friday night for day two of the Centennial Conference Championship hosted by Franklin and Marshall College at Kunkel Aquatic Center.
The Red and White kicked the day off by having
Aidan Keillor and
Alexander Kanard claim 14th (4:47.68) and 16th (4:57.96) in the 500-yard freestyle.Â
James Wright just missed the Top-5 for the 200-yard individual medley getting to the wall at 1:53.44 to nab sixth, while
Andrew Kelley and
Joe Apat nabbed 11th (1:55.80) and 16th (1:59.93) respectively.
Samson Qu appeared in the pool for the first time on the night to take part in the 50-yard freestyle earning a sixth-place finish with a time of 20.97.
Daulton Kendall clocked in at 21.11 for 11th, while
Justin Wong and
Jack Engel finished tied for 20th thanks to identical times of 21.75.Â
The session ended with the team of Kelley, Qu, Wong and Wright finished off the Top-5 for the 400-yard medley relay thanks to a 3:24.26. The other DC crew of
Nolan Chenot,
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi,
Henry Lease and Kanard seized 14th by hitting the wall in 3:34.47.
Team Scores
Gettysburg now holds the lead with 321 points, followed by Swarthmore (312), Franklin and Marshall (194), RED DEVILS (157), Ursinus (130), Washington (Md.) (119) and McDaniel (86).
Next on the Pool Deck
The Red and White return to action tomorrow morning at 10am for the preliminary session, before heading back to the Kunkel Aquatic Center for the Day Three finals of the CC Championship beginning at 6pm.
