CANTON, N.Y. - The Dickinson women's squash team held an early lead, but was not able to hang on as the host Saint Lawrence University Saints rallied back for a slim 5-4 victory on Friday night at the Robie Squash Center.
Inside the Match
The Devils got off to a good start as Amna Fayyaz went the distance and won at the top flight against Anannya Morey with an 11-4 victory in the fifth game. DC also got a five-game win from Whitney Finney in the number five slot as she knocked off Ulrikke Bore Ribesen. Doxey Loupassi earned the third five-game triumph for the Red and Black at the seventh flight by downing Margaret Pruett with an 11-8 win in the fifth. The final win for Dickinson came at the fourth spot when Anna O'Connor dispatched of Petra DeRose in three games. Cate Moll and Emerson Rains each took two games at the sixth and eighth flight, before falling in five. Lindsay Kuracina and Eloise Nimoityn both grabbed a game from their competition.
