(Providence, R.I.) – The #17-ranked Dickinson women's squash team suffered a 9-0 setback at #11-ranked Brown University on Thursday afternoon.
Junior Hedvika Suchankova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/St. Michael's) had a strong showing in the top flight, falling in five sets after pulling in front (11-6, 16-14). Hannah Seckendorf rallied with scores of (11-2, 11-6, 11-6).
Domenica Romo (Ambato, Ecuador/Colegio Atenas) and Abbie Wingerd (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) dropped 3-1 decisions while junior Sarah Murphy (Hamilton, Mass./Brooks School) claimed two sets in the 10th flight.
The Red Devils slip to 2-7 on the season. They travel to Amherst College for a 2:00 pm match on Friday.
