(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with visiting Penn State Berks on Sunday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
Senior goaltender Charlotte Armour (New Haven, Conn./Choate-Rosemary Hall) was busy all afternoon, making 12 saves as the Lions put all but three shots on target.
The Red Devils tallied 12 shots but forced just one save from goaltender Paige Elmy. Dickinson earned a pair of corners in each half to hold a 4-2 advantage for the game.
Dana Sarcinello had a strong chance for Penn State in the second half, but the shot ricocheted off the cross bar.
The teams battled back and forth throughout the match with strong play from both sides. Penn State remains unbeaten as they move to 2-0-2 on the season.
The Red Devils stand at 3-1-1 overall. They are in action again on Wednesday, traveling to Alvernia University for a 7:00 pm kick-off.
