(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team improved to 3-1 on the season, posting a 3-0 shutout against visiting Eastern University on Saturday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
First-year Taylor Brennan (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) was not bothered by the rainy field conditions, netting a pair of goals and handing out an assist on the third.
Brennan found the net right before halftime, putting the Red Devils on the scoreboard with just 1:15 remaining on the clock. She struck again with 25 minutes to play in the game, finishing an assist from sophomore Alex Goldrich (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional).
Just four minutes later, Brennan played of forward, dishing out an assist to teammate Olivia Termini (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) for the 3-0 final.
The Red Devils doubled-up the Eagles in shots, 22-11, and held a 6-1 advantage in corners on the day.
Adrianna Swinehart had a busy day, stopping 14 shots in the nets for Eastern. Senior Charlotte Armour (New Haven, Conn./Choate-Rosemary Hall) made three saves in goal for the Red Devils while Amanda Masterson (Essex Falls, N.J./West Essex) came on to make a pair in the final 18 minutes.
The Red Devils (3-1) are in action again tomorrow, hosting Penn State Berks on Miller Memorial Field at 1:00 pm.
