(Myrtle Beach, S.C.) – The Dickinson men's golf team overcame windy conditions at the Love Course at the Barefoot Resort, posting a six-stroke win over Gettysburg, on Wednesday. The Red Devils combined for a score of 342 while the Bullets shot a 346.
Sophomore George Voris (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier Township) led the Red Devils with an 83 to finish second overall. Gettysburg's Zac Kennedy earned medalist honors, edging Voris by a stroke with an 82.
Junior Linn Worthington (Owings Mills, Md./Gilman) was in hunt, turning in a round of 84. Chris Noonan (Durham, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) and Brian Palm (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) also shot in 80's, posting scores of 86 and 89, respectively.
Tom Supinka (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) tied for third overall with an 84, while sophomore Patrick Keenan (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson) had a solid round of 88.
First-year Stephen Hoefer (Dallas, Texas/Cistercian Prep) shot a 91, and Mike Deming (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) had a 95.
The Red Devils are scheduled to host the Dickinson Spring Invitational on March 19th.
