(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team turned in a solid performance to top visiting Messiah College, 121-72, on Tuesday night.
Junior Jason Adams (Kingston, Jamaica/Kent School, Conn.) led the way with a triple-win night. He swam the lead leg of the 200 medley relay (1:39.45) and clocked the top times of the night in the 50 freestyle (21.90) and the 100-yard backstroke (55.27).
First-year Theo Hubbard (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) added wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle events with times of 1:48.91 and 4:53.71, respectively. He also joined the 200 free relay in exhibition as the Devils clocked the top time with a 1:33.43. Junior Michael Mason (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School) won the 1000 freestyle in 11:02.22.
Junior Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) anchored the medley relay and earned an individual win in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:03.48. First-year Brendon Walsh (Chelmsford, Mass./Phillips Academy-Andover) claimed second with a time of 11:04.30, finished behind Gauthier in the 200 IM, and anchored the top free relay.
Senior Ed Barnard (Springfield, Pa./Haverford School) and sophomore Cris Miranda (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) rounded out the medley relay. Miranda added a second place finish in the 100 butterfly (55.62), behind a winning time of 55.54 from classmate Cameron Phillips (Woburn, Mass./Phillips Academy-Andover).
Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) placed second in the 200 freestyle (1:51.82) and the 100 backstroke (56.70) while senior Kevin Chibbaro (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Twp.) won the 100 free, placed fourth in the 50 free (22.75) and also joined the top free relay.
The Red Devils improve to 6-1 overall. They are next scheduled to compete at the International Hall of Fame Invitational in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on January 4th.
