Scott McQuaig enters his 11th season, as the head coach for the Red Devil women's golf team. Prior to taking over as the head coach, McQuaig served as the assistant coach for the Red Devils and has an extensive background in the sport.
 
From 1995-2020, McQuaig worked in public education as an elementary and secondary school counselor. From 2004-20019, McQuaig coached the Boiling Springs High School program, leading the Bubblers to the Boys' Mid Penn Capital Division Conference Championship in 2013-2014, posting a 29-1 record, and in 2014-15 the Girl’s Team PA State championship Runner up title.
 
From 2009-2014, he was a Youth Golf Instructor in South Middleton Township, where he conducted weekly youth lessons and worked with the South Middleton Youth Summer Clinic and Youth Tournament.
McQuaig is a Certified Golf Instructor/Teacher - receiving Level II Certification through the United States Golf Teaching Federation. For the past 14 years, he attended numerous coaching clinics led by college coaches and the United States Golf Association.
 
The women's program has been on the rise in recent years, finishing second or third in the Centennial Conference in three of the past five seasons. His teams have also produced a pair of All-Centennial Conference performers in 2014 and the 2014 CC Rookie of the Year.
Melanie Campbell '15 earned back-to-back All-Conference honors and was named the CC Women's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2015. In the 2018-19 season, first-year Olivia Brown ’21, was named Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year.
 
In addition to golf, he has been involved with various sports, working with youth groups and collegiate athletes. Prior to his career in education, he was an Army Infantry officer, earning the Ranger Tab and Master Parachutist wings. Additionally, he was a Tactical Officer at the United States Military Academy, mentoring students at West Point, and served as an assistant coach for the USMA Marathon team.
 
McQuaig is a resident of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and lives with his wife Katleen, a writer, author, and speaker.
