Eric Bologa

Eric Bologa is entering into his second year as the Head Coach of both the men’s and women’s Track and Field teams for the Red Devils. Bologa arrived in Carlisle after spending two years as the head coach at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania. While at the helm of the Royals program he steered them to their highest finishes and most points scored at the Landmark Conference Championships leading the women to a second-place finish on 149.5 points, while the men posted 67 points to improve on their previous best of 39. In addition to guiding Scranton the team their best results, Bologa was tasked with recruiting student-athletes to the school by utilizing campus tours, overnight visits and virtual/in-person communications. He also was in charge of managing, hiring and scheduling four part-time and volunteer assistant coaches, while also helping to manage fundraising efforts for the program. 
 
Bologa is no stranger to the Red and White as he served as an assistant coach with Dickinson from 2018 until his departure in 2021. While with the Devils he was tasked with working with a variety of disciplines including sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers, and multi-events. During his initial stint in Carlisle, DC produced a pair of Centennial Conference Rookies of the Year, 28 All-Conference performers and three All-Region athletes. 
 
Since returning to Carlisle, in his first season as Head Coach, his team achieved two 1st team individuals and one 2nd team individual All-American for Indoor, three 1st Team Individuals, two Individuals and one relay 2nd team All American for Outdoor, two Regional Athletes of the Year, three Centennial Conference Athletes of the Year, and ten USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes.
 
Bologa entered the coaching field after a solid career at Division II Shippensburg University out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference where he was chosen as the 2015 PSAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. He also earned recognition on the national stage earning three NCAA Division II All-American honors in the 400m hurdles (2x) and the outdoor 4x400m relay. Bologa received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in communication/journalism from Shippensburg in 2015, before graduating from Frostburg State two years later with a Master's of Education in Counseling.
