Scott Knapp (Duquesne University ’08) joined the Red Devil coaching staff and has served as the offensive coordinator since the 2019 season. He brought a wealth of experience of coaching in the Centennial Conference after spending the previous four seasons at Juniata College.

Prior to joining the Eagles’ staff, he was part of the Susquehanna coaching staff, joining the River Hawks in 2008. He has strong experience working with quarterbacks as well as wide receivers and running backs.

Knapp graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2008 from Division I Duquesne University. He was a two-time all-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference quarterback for the Dukes, the 2005 MAAC Offensive Rookie of the Year and a 2006 Don Hansen's Football Gazette Mid-Major honorable mention All-American. 

Knapp produced five 300-yard passing games during his career at Duquesne. He set the freshman school record in his first start, throwing for 365 yards and covered a career-best 381 as a sophomore. He threw for over 200 yards in 11 games and finished his career with over 4,000 yards and a 55.9 completion percentage. He added another school record with 35 completions against Fordham University in 2006, netting 363 yards on the day.
