- Albright used five consecutive singles against Renner in the second to grab a 2-1 lead through two frames.
- The last of the third saw the Red and White take the lead for good as another single from Sandusky allowed McMahon to pickup an RBI with a knock to right. That was followed by a double from Eden Blanker and a run scoring base hit by Abby Kohan making it 3-2. However, a popup and groundout ended the rally.
- Renner ran into some trouble in the top of the fourth with a pair of singles, but was ultimately able to pitch out of it. Dickinson would then add on during the home-half when with two away another single by Sandusky set the stage for Jane Lloyd to deliver an RBI single through the left-side pushing the gap to 4-2 heading to the fifth.
- A single by McMahon (Emma Varella pinch runner) to open up the bottom of the fifth would ultimately come around to score three batters later when Renner was safe on a fielder's choice to give the Red and White the 5-2 advantage.
- Renner would shut the door from there pitching around a walk and an error during the sixth, before posting a flawless "one-two-three" top-half of the seventh to end the game.

Inside the Game
- Both starting pitchers Kohan for the Devils and Weiss for the Lions were outstanding early on as neither side could get anything going offensively over the first three innings.
- A leadoff single for Grace Landante in the top of the fourth, was followed by a groundout from Ryleigh Prinz to move the runner to second with one gone. Slaydon Fisher then stepped up and delivered an RBI single to center to take a 1-0 lead heading to the last of the fourth.
- Singles off the sticks of McMahon and Kohan had two on and one down for Renner. She would be safe on a fielder's choice, but McMahon was forced out trying to get to third still leaving two on with two gone. Marah Goldman then provided the clutch hit with a game-tying knock to center, before Laila Gwathmey flew out to left sending the game to the fifth.
- Things stayed tied up at 1-1 into the last of the sixth when Dickinson went back to work. A walk for Kohan and singles by Renner and Goldman made it 2-1 with one gone. Varella showed off her wheels with an infield single to load the bases and brought Sandusky to the dish. She continued her strong evening with a hit batter plating one, before the same fate struck Lloyd to open up a 4-1 edge. DC was still not done however, as McMahon cleared the bags with a double through the left-side taking a 7-1 lead into the seventh.
