ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson women's golf team went back to work on Sunday afternoon determined to improve on Saturday's team score of 429 at the McDaniel College Spring Invite. The Red and White used Sunday's second round to accomplish just that as they knocked off 16 combined strokes to post a 413 helping them to earn fifth place in the tournament.
Claire Kingsbury was the low Devil on the day firing a 97 to knock four shots off her day one total to give her a 16th-place finish on the 5604-yard, par 72 course. After ending Saturday with a 108,
Maggie Byers trimmed eight off her mark to come in with an even 100 to grab 20th place.
Olivia Chae brought herself down five strokes carding a 102 to help finish in a tie for 21st.
Diana Zeppos and
Becca Schulman rounded out the roster for the Red and White with a 114 and 115 respectively.
Nikki Hall from Gettysburg College took home the individual title with a total of 167 after rounds of 84 and 83. She and the rest of her Bullet teammates claimed the team crown as well thanks to a score of 680 which was followed by Franklin & Marshall (739), St. John Fisher (757), McDaniel (783) and Dickinson (842).
