LANCASTER, Pa. – The Dickinson men's squash team slipped to 0-2 in the MASC tournament on Saturday morning as the 19th-ranked Engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology tamed the Red and While by a margin of 8-1 at Franklin and Marshall College. They now move into the 5th and 6th playoff tomorrow.
Inside the Match
The Red Devils claimed their solo victory in the top flight, with Junior Joe Smythe getting back on track after a slow start, to win in four games. Graduate student Omar Ali returned to the lineup in the second flight and played some impressive squash. Ali took the 2-1 lead, but Price came storming back and claimed the match 11-9 in the fifth game. Sam Knipp also had an impressive showing, playing well above his rating and keeping it close but falling in three games. Sophomore Aidan Donnan was within reaching distance in the eighth flight, unfortunately Wen claimed the match. An overall positive showing from the Red and White as they head into the final match of the tournament tomorrow.
