GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson women's swimming team returned to action on Friday night for Session One of the Gettysburg College Invite. The Red and White were strong on the evening with two individual wins and a Top-3 result in one of two relays.
The night began with the team of
Madeline Dold,
Anna Gnagey,
Caitlin Gross and
Tori May claiming third for the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.02, while the other Devils unit of
Sydney Farling,
Izzy Klonsky,
Sarah McHenry and
Meghan Schmidt grabbed 11th (1:44.15).
Dickinson earned a victory in the next event the 500-yard freestyle as May got to the wall in 5:09.71 which was almost three seconds better than the next closest competitor Julie Tiedemann from Montclair State University (5:12.57). Klonsky rounded out the Top-10 by posting a mark of 5:27.25.
The Devils second triumph of the session came during the 200-yard individual medley with Gnagey clocking in at 2:08.03. McHenry stayed inside the Top-20 with a 2:19.29 good for 14th, followed by
Bella Gerkin at 2:28.38 (27th).
The final individual event of the night was the 50-yard freestyle and that was where Gross occupied sixth-place with a 24.37. Dold took up 20th by clocking in at 25.61. The duo of Schmidt and Farling posted times of 26.20 (26th) and 26.25 (27th).Â
Farling, Gnagey, Gross and May fell just outside the Top-3 of the 400-yard medley relay as their mark of 3:58.95 claimed fourth, while
Sarah Mulcahy, Gerkin, McHenry and Schmidt grabbed eighth (4:05.63).

The Red and White return to Bullets Pool tomorrow morning at 10am, before coming back at 5pm for the third and final session of the Gettysburg College Invite.
