CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's swim team returned with a vengeance to the Clarke Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon as the Red and White won a dozen races en route to a dominating 169-92 Centennial Conference win over the visiting Bryn Mawr College.
Dickinson began the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay with the team of
Olivia Abbott-Havers,
Sydney Farling,
Anna Gnagey, and
Emma Johnston took first at 1:54.74, followed by
Bella Gerkin,
Sarah McHenry,
Sarah Mulcahy and
Norah Wilson fell to second (1:56.93).
Victory number two came in the 1000-yard freestyle thanks to
Tori May and her 11:01.56, while
Molly Whitaker clocked in at 11:50.57 for fourth.
Gnagey paced a group of seven swimmers during the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.02. The duo of Isobell O'Connell and
Annelyse Warner took up fourth (2:08.67) and fifth (2:16.99).
The Red and White had two of the Top-3 athletes for the 100-yard backstroke as McHenry won the event in 1:02.85, with
Carolyn Wolujewicz secured third (1:06.57).
Two different Devils nabbed Top-3 results in the 100-yard breaststroke with Farling seizing second (1:13.49) beating out Gerkin in third (1:14.08).
It was a "one-two" finish for the Red and White during the 200-yard butterfly thanks to Mulcahy grabbing the win at 2:18.36, followed by
Lillie Deaton Connor and her 2:24.64.
Abbott-Havers claimed her second win of the day and first individual victory by toppling the field for the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.76, while Wilson joined her on the podium by getting to the wall in 26.43 (3rd).
A trio of Devils competed in the 100-yard freestyle with Abbott-Havers and May picking up second (56.01) and third (57.87) respectively. O'Connell also posted a time of 1:00.65 for fifth.
The podium was full of Red and White during the 200-yard backstroke as Connor won in 2:19.96, which was three seconds better than McHenry at 2:22.46 and five ahead of Wolujewicz in third (2:24.22).
Dickinson went "one-two" for the 200-yard breaststroke with Farling getting to the wall in 2:38.40 for the win as she barely held-off Whitaker (2:38.73).
Two Devils took to the pool during the 500-yard freestyle as Gnagey picked up another win for the home side by clocking in at 5:22.97, while Warner fell to fourth (5:58.47).
It was another DC victory in the 100-yard butterfly with Johnston taking the title thanks to a 1:01.66. Gerkin also competed during the event landing in fifth (1:10.68).
May, Mulcahy and Connor did battle for the 400-yard individual medley nabbing spots one (4:50.54), two (4:57.76) and five (5:06.67) respectively.
Abbott-Havers, Gnagey, Johnston and Wilson claimed the final win for the Red and White on the day with a mark of 3:47.09 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, while Farling, McHenry, O'Connell and Whitaker grabbed second (4:01.08).

Dickinson (3-8, 1-6 Centennial) will wrap-up their regular season slate next Saturday afternoon at 1pm when they host the Green Terror of McDaniel College inside the Clarke Aquatic Center on Senior Day.
