MIT Holds Off Men's Squash in Top-25 Match Up

(Cambridge, Mass.) – The #22-ranked Dickinson men's squash team suffered a tough, 6-3 setback to #21-ranked MIT on Saturday to close out a three-day tour.

Sophomore Abdelrahman Elsergany (Cairo, Egypt/Kent School, Conn.) posted a strong win in the top flight with a 3-0 decision. He opened with an 11-3 set and claimed the next two (13-11, 11-8).

Classmate Cory Litman (Lower Merion, Pa./ Lower Merion) claimed a 3-0 victory in the sixth flight with scores of (11-9, 11-6, 11-6). Vincent Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) earned the third point with a 3-1 win in the seventh (11-9, 8-11, 11-9, 11-6).

Hal Holappa (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) went five sets in second flight, falling 3-2 while Alex Wattles (Millbrook, N.Y./Millbrook) and Harrison Mayo (Penn Valley, Pa./Harriton) suffered 3-2 setbacks in the fourth and fifth flights as well.

The Red Devils slip to 7-9 on the season. They return home to host Denison University and Haverford next Sunday at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, respectively.
