(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team remains in fourth place after the second day of competition at the 2014 Centennial Conference Championships.
The Red Devils had some strong individual performances on Saturday. First-year Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) broke the school record in the prelims of the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.06, and eclipsed that mark in the finals, placing fifth with a time of 59.86.
First-year Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) earned bronze in the 400 individual medley, posting a time of 4:38.58. She added a school record with the 200 medley relay as they combined for a school record with a fifth place time of 1:49.95.
Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) swam the lead leg of the medley relay, joined by Leary and anchor Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional). Klockner placed fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:55.15) while Houser added a sixth place showing in the 100 backstroke (59.92).
The Red Devil women are currently in fourth place in the team standings with 339 points. Gettysburg leads Ursinus by just one-half point (457-456.5), with Franklin & Marshall holding the third spot with 372 points.
Competition concludes with two sessions on Sunday.
