(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team turned in some strong performances against a tough, Division II opponent, falling to visiting Bloomsburg University, 139-109 on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) showed well in the distance events, winning the 500 freestyle and finishing third in the 1000, while first-year Brenna Nimkoff (Weston, Conn./Weston) touched the wall second in both events.

Sophomore Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) won the 100 butterfly and led-off the winning 400 free relay. She added a second place finish with the 200 medley relay and placed fourth in the 200 freestyle.

First-year Callie Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) joined the Devils' top free relay and placed second with the medley relay. She added a pair of bronze medals in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle events.

First-year Elizabeth Smith (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) won the 200 individual medley and swam to second in the 200 backstroke. Sophomore Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) was just behind Smith in the IM. She placed second with the medley relay and in the 200 breaststroke, and finished third in the 100 breaststroke.

Sophomore Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) anchored the medley and free relay events, and placed third in the 200 backstroke. She also touched the wall fourth in the 50 freestyle.

The Red Devils slip to 5-2 overall. They are home again next weekend, hosting the Dickinson Invitational.
