(Chestertown, Md.) – The Dickinson women's swim team captured first and second in four events en route to a 142-63 win at Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) was a triple-winner on the day. She claimed individual wins on the 1000 yard freestyle (10:56.74) and the 200 butterfly (2:16.71). Brennan also joined the winning 400 free relay that posted a time of 3:49.32.
Sophomore Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) won three events as well. She led-off the 400 free relay and touched the wall first in the 100 and 200 freestyles, with times of 55.24 and 1:59.22.
First-year Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) was the third Red Devil to finish with a triple-win afternoon. She led-off the 400 medley relay (4:11.83), adding wins in the 50 freestyle (25.43) and the 200 backstroke (2:15.65).
Senior Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) anchored the medley relay and earned an individual victory in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:24.68. She was second in the 200 freestyle, posting a time of 2:00.23.
Senior Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) joined the winning free relay, and placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:19.13) and the 200 backstroke (2:16.55). First-year Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:16.74 and placed second in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.91). She also earned a win with the medley relay to start the day.
Junior Alex Melchiorre (Voorhees, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) added a second place finish in the 200 butterfly, clocking a time of 2:18.19. Sophomore Katie Nirenberg (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) anchored the free relay while first-year Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) swam the third leg of the medley.
The Red Devils improve to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Franklin & Marshall on February 1st to face the Diplomats at 1:00 pm.
