(Grantham, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's swim team turned in a great performance on Tuesday night, holding off neighboring Messiah, 110-95.
Sophomore Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) led the way with a triple-win, capturing the 1000 freestyle (10:58.71), 500 free (5:20.66), and the 200 free relay. She swam the lead leg as the Devils clocked a time of 1:45.86.
Natalie LeBlanc (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) swam the lead leg of the winning 200 medley relay (2:00.86), and placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:22.21) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.31).
Senior Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hotchkiss School) joined the winning free relay and placed second in the 50 (26.03) and 100 (56.48) freestyle events. First-year Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) anchored the free relay, and placed third in both the 200 freestyle (2:04.24) and the 500 free (5:33.47).
Sophomore Gillie Grattan (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) swam the other leg of the free relay. She added a second place showing in the 200 free (2:03.93) and a third in the 100 free (58.26).
First-year Johanna Fleming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) won the 100 breaststroke (1:14.59) and earned a win with the medley relay. She placed fourth in the 50 freestyle as well with a time of 26.93. Sophomore Kayla Haskins (Mars, Pa./Pine Richland) was second in the breaststroke (1:17.40) and placed third in the 200 individual medley (2:24.69).
Senior Kasia Szulborski (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas) anchored the medley relay and placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (58.81). Rachel Williams (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) swam the third leg of the medley relay and placed second in the butterfly (1:03.42).
Carla Vazquez-Ramos (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) finished second in the 1000 freestyle (11:25.85)as the Devils claimed the top four spots in the event. She was fourth in the 200 free and 100 butterfly. Nora Snee (Falls Church, Va./JEB Stuart) was third in the 1000 (111:26.17), followed by Kallie Strode (Pennington, N.J./Hill School) in fourth (12:13.49).
The Red Devils improve to 7-3 overall. They return to competition in January.
